To Suprise Her

This year, i completed my raya visitation on the first day itself.

Mom, dad, Tessa, my boy and I did the pusara visiting, Tessa and I completed our Cousin Raya Coffee ritual. It was mom's and aunt's bday just a couple of days ago, so we threw them a suprise bday party. We gave away angpaus, took countless selfies and what not. At the end of the day, everyone was happy. Tidak kira.. tua and muda, everyone went home feeling blessed for having each other.

And in my mind, I secretly planned my second day of Raya.

Im gonna pack up and drive.
Drive up to Ipoh to celebrate raya with her. Kononnye, hantar kuih raya yg I lupa nak kasik.

I told her later that nite, I was coming over. Unplanned. Max and I both. Max is my 5 yr old son. Just so you know.

The next morning, I was ready to drive up north. See, Im frm kl and hometown to me is like a myth. I never knew what is it like to drive back to my family along with every other kl-ite and being stuck in the jam on eves. All these to me, is a myth. Or hear-say. And so, I was very excited and anxious at the same time. I packed up clothes for the nite, just in case.

And Max and I did it. Our drive lasted for 5 hrs almost. Halfway in Jules hometown, we got lost. Jules came to our rescue and minutes later.. we were salam-ing her parents, wishing them selamat hari raya.

Jules and her mom offered us to stay the night. I gladly said ok!

Food was over-flowing. Ketupat palas, my fav pun ada! At nite, Max, Jules and I went for Apes movie. U know which ones, after which we had midnight supper.

The next day, we woke up at 10ish.
Her mom made ketam masak lomak. And sambal udang galah with pecal jantung pishang!! Wowza kan!

After stuffing our faces, Max and I left.

And now Jules says I have a hometown to go back to, thanks ayg d;)

Here's to yik mun on our way back.

Oh, and of course.. the Bangkit Cheese yg tertinggal was safely delivered to her mom.

Thursday thoughts

While am at work... and you're at yours..

Knowing your fish

Im a fish lover.
As in I like eating them.
In conjuction with our trip down under.. fish is prolly one of the cheaper option, apart from the kebabs you get from the hole in wall.

It is hence, essential to know the fish they would serve.

Here's my research:
Barramundi - siakap
Grouper - kerapu
Mackerel - ikan kembung

And.. my fav

Snapper - jenahak!

Now i know my fish-ology, im all set for down unda!

Raya shopping

It was our last weekend of ramadhan before she goes back to her hometown. It's that last Satday for iftar together. It's that Satday for Raya shopping. Suprisingly, KLCC was not packed with last minute runners like Jules and I. There was a queue at the fitting room, nothing too serious to moan about tho. And we were both glad.

There is something you need to know about Jules and I. We came a long way to where we are now. Too much to tell, but one for sure that is related to shopping this year - we are both bois.

For the past year, I only bought clothes to please othrs. More on to enhance my physical nature. That I was born a girl.

This year tho, I decided to please no one but myself. I am who I am. A boi stucked in a girl's body. And no matter how I please others, like choosing a male as a life partner, to dress as pretty as I could, I failed. Nothing done without sincerity of the heart wins.

So it's time. To be me.

We walked into zara man. I picked out a pair of chinos and queued with the rest of the gents. Outside I read a sign "male only". It was my turn and I looked at the handsome looking guy who was looking out for the changing room and said in my boyish voice ever "bro, nak try". He nodded and said wait. I was relieved to know. He acknowledge my wish. And my rights to try that piece of clothing I have my eyes on. To me, it was a gender equality fight and I triumph. My lil heart was happy.

My cool chinos fitted me well and I bought it. With pride. Gay pride.

The rest of the day went well. I bought shirt. And cool relaxing cray shoes to enhance my outfit. Damn. Im keeping my hair. Jules say that I should. Because, i am still in the phase of coming out. I wanted to get a hat. But .. nah, maybe next time. This is an effort not to burn my pocket. It pains my to walkaway knowing I look super awesome, hot and wanna date myself like in it. Lol!

Jules manage to snag a pair of trendy beige chinos frm gap and a cool shirt to go with it. She is aldy out. Her parents are cool about it. And I must say she looks handsome.

So you must know, butch dating butch is nothing but great due to the understanding we both have for each other. And not to mention the girl checking out moments we can share. I love Jules to bits. Being togethr for 2 years, well almost have brought to this point that we have no secrets with each other. We are best friends, playmate and support to each other. :)

And to finish of, this raya.. it's gonna be awesome.

Because, I look like this.. in my mind at least.

Ghostie, Pancakes and Coffee

It was a Saturday. The first Satday Ramadhan and so we celebrated together. Us three boys with bond like no other.
We did some shopping. But best bit was the sick ghost movie we watched. That really reminded me of the goverment series that karma really hits you back.
We laughed, imagine a ghostie that makes you laugh.
By the time we were done, it was time for break fast. Earlier bookings were made at Paddington House of Pancakes. After which, we are done for pancakes, waffles and crepes for the rest of the year. Lol.
Then it was post party where we headed out for coffee and girl watching :) our fav part.

We looked out for PLU. It is funny when bois are being bois and wanting the girl they are courting. As an outsider, the message written on their faces are clear "you place or mine?"

And after an hr or two.. we called it a Satday nite and headed home. Of course it didnt end just like that without proper dessert d;p

Bois will always be bois.
